Toe Pain

Toe pain is a relatively common occurrence affecting most people throughout their lifetimes. Hereditary and genetic factors may be associated with toe pain, as well as inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.

Toe pain is common in the adult population and can be caused by simple skin lesions through to arthritic joint changes.

Corns and callus can often build up on our toes due to pressure from footwear. When they become painful a podiatrist can simply shave back or remove the troublesome area.

Changes in the position of the toes e.g. bunions and clawed toes also affect the way we walk. In many cases, simple conservative strategies can be implemented to improve a patients comfort.
